The body of a man, who is believed to be one of the missing crew, was found on Friday evening after the 36ft crab fishing boat the Purbeck Isle had failed to return to port at Weymouth. Rescuers were also due to focus on an object that was found on the sea bed by a survey vessel, which is thought to be the wreck of the fishing boat. It is resting on the sea bed at a depth of 180 feet. “It is very difficult to identify what that particular object is. We are concentrating on trying to identify this to either discount it or count it in, as the case may be.” On Friday night HMS York, a Type 42 destroyer, the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Wave Ruler, and US Navy supply vessel 2nd Lt John P Bobo also joined in the search. The three men have yet to be officially named, but were well known in the local community.
